About Us

Ipswich Insurance Brokers is a general insurance broking business serving clients across Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Somerset. We are part of the WebInsure Insurance Brokers Group, a Steadfast and CBN member firm, operating as an authorised representative of Community Broker Network (CBN) Pty Ltd (AFSL 233750).

Our history

Ipswich Insurance Brokers was established by WebInsure following the acquisition of PRP Insurance Brokers in the early 2000s. For more than two decades we have supported families, businesses and farms across the Ipswich, Lockyer Valley and Somerset regions with practical insurance advice and claims support.

What we do

We are a general insurance broker — we act on behalf of our clients, not insurers. Our role is to understand your situation, identify appropriate cover options, approach a panel of approved insurers, compare policy terms and conditions, and recommend options suited to your needs. We arrange cover, issue policy documentation, provide certificates of currency and assist throughout the claims process.

We do not sell insurance products directly. We are remunerated through commission paid by the insurer when a policy is placed or renewed. The commission rate is disclosed in writing before you confirm instructions and is detailed in our Financial Services Guide.

  • Steadfast Group member — Australia’s largest insurance broker network, providing access to a broad panel of approved insurers, exclusive policy wordings and claims support resources
  • Community Broker Network (CBN) authorised representative — WebInsure Pty Ltd operates as an authorised representative of CBN (AFSL 233750). CBN holds the AFSL under which insurance broking services are provided. CBN also provides insurer access, compliance support and professional development frameworks
  • NIBA member — we subscribe to the National Insurance Brokers Association Code of Practice, which sets professional standards for insurance brokers

We do not provide financial planning, life insurance or investment advice. For life insurance and financial planning, we refer to Gold Coast Financial Advisers, a separately licensed financial advisory business.

WebInsure operates as an authorised representative of the Community Broker Network (CBN) Pty Ltd, which holds the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL 233750) under which insurance broking services are provided.

WebInsure also trades as:

  • Gold Coast Insurance Brokers — general insurance broking for the Gold Coast and surrounding areas
  • Wideland Insurance Brokers — general insurance broking across wider regional Queensland
  • Granite Belt Insurance Brokers — general insurance broking for the Granite Belt and surrounding regions

All insurance broking services across these brands are provided under CBN’s AFSL as authorised representatives. Gold Coast Financial Advisers is a separate business operating under its own licence — it is not part of WebInsure and provides financial planning and life insurance advice, not general insurance broking.

Our approach

We believe the right cover is more important than the lowest quoted premium. Our focus is on ensuring the policy you hold reflects your actual risk, is accurately declared, and will respond when you need it. We document our recommendations and maintain records of advice given. We do not make guarantees about coverage outcomes or claim results — those are determined by the insurer under policy terms.

How we handle claims

Claims support is one of the most important things a broker provides. When an insured event occurs, we assist with lodging the claim, coordinating assessors, reviewing scope and settlement offers, and escalating where the insurer’s response is inadequate or delayed. We cannot guarantee claim outcomes — those are determined by the insurer under policy terms — but we ensure your position is clearly represented throughout the process. Our service model

We provide ongoing service throughout the year — not just at placement and renewal. If your circumstances change, if you acquire new assets, if a contract requires additional cover or certification, or if you have a question about your existing policies, we are available to assist. We maintain records of advice given and update these at renewal. Changes that may affect your coverage should be notified to us promptly so we can advise on any underwriting implications.

Complaints and feedback

If you have a concern about our service, please contact us directly. We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve concerns promptly. If a complaint cannot be resolved through direct discussion, it can be escalated through our internal process and then to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) as an independent external dispute resolution service.
