What to include in your request
The more information you provide, the more useful our initial response will be. For business insurance, include your industry, approximate turnover and the main assets or activities you need to cover. For personal insurance, include the property address, construction type and whether the property is owner-occupied or rented. For motor or fleet, include the vehicle types and how they are used.
General advice vs personal advice
Depending on the information you provide, we may provide either general advice (information about insurance options without considering your individual circumstances) or personal advice (specific recommendations based on your situation). Personal advice requires us to collect sufficient information about your objectives, financial situation and needs. We will tell you which type of advice we are providing and document this accordingly.
Our obligations
We are required to act in your best interests, disclose our remuneration and provide you with documentation of the advice given.
